// My daily make up routine

Straight away, I'll admit I'm not much of a make-up person. I'm always maximising my time in bed by making my morning routine as simple as possible so naturally, I need a simple, every day make up routine that'll keep my skin looking decent throughout the whole day.

Recommended and advised by my friend Sophie, I reinvented my make-up routine and now it's simple but effective - and most importantly, quick and easy.

1) Real Techniques Expert Face Brush £9.99
This brush is great for applying my foundation quickly and without too much waste. Depending on what I'm doing in the day, I either sweep the brush across my face for a lighter coverage or I use the brush to stipple it over my face if I want a higher amount of coverage.

2) Rimmel Lasting Finish Nude Foundation £7.99
There are two reasons why this foundation is the best one I've ever tried. Firstly, I don't feel like I'm wearing any foundation - it's so light! And secondly, it stays on! I was hesitant as previous foundations which make the same claims have fallen short but when I look in the mirror at the end of the day before I take my make up off, there's actually something to get rid off!

3) Rimmel Fix & Perfect Pro Primer £6.99
I've used this primer before and ditched it after a while because it ran out quickly. I swapped for a (more expensive) primer, only to find it made no difference. So I'm back to this one - it's light and instantly provides a smooth canvas to start putting my foundation on.

4) Rimmel Wake Me Up Concealer £5.49
This concealer helps to brighten the dark circles under my eyes and masquerades my tiredness from a late night and it will cover up any blemishes (and spots)!

5) Bourjois Powder Brush £4.99
I've had this brush for three or four years now and it's still going strong! I use it with a stippling motion and the technique really makes a difference to the lasting quality of my foundation.

6) Rimmel Stay Matte Pressed Powder £3.99
This powder is cheap and lasts for ages - a winning combination! I originally had the transparent version but I was finding it was "washing out" my foundation, so after much persuasion from my friend, I gave this one a go and it's great at maintaining my colour.

What's your daily make-up routine? And I'm always searching for ways to make my routine simpler, so if you've got an idea or tip for me then give me a shout in the comments below!

// taking the long way home

Concerts and exploring new countries are two of my favourite things - so this summer, I finally got to do both and my friend and I jetted off to Paris for a long weekend. We explored the best that Paris has to offer - the Arc de Triomphe, the Eiffel Tower and the Notre Dame etc. - and then, with no rest, we rushed over to the Stade de France to watch 5 Seconds of Summer and One Direction blow the (proverbial) roof of the stadium in front of an 81,000-strong crowd. The next day, we enjoyed baguettes by the Notre Dame before jumping on the metro back to the airport for our flight back to London.

I'm keen on one day doing some concert photography - so whenever I go to shows, I'm always armed with my digital camera. I have to admit, it was really hard because we were being pushed left, right and centre throughout the concert, but I managed a few. Here's a couple of my favourites!
